I'm a technophile and serial startup-junkie based in the Bay Area.
Let me tell you a bit about myself. I was born the same year as the Internet. Maybe it's fate, but that turned out to be the industry I found myself in.
Over the past few years, I've been mostly involved with dealing with enormous amounts of data in the ad-tech industry. I'm currently the Head of Platform Products at Metamarkets. Previously, I served as the VP of Data Products at Polymorph (previously AdsNative)
I'm driven by two fundamental desires to solve problems and making an impact. Consequently, I developed a passion for creating products that solve real customer needs, with primary focus is in web and mobile. However, my experiences also span a wide range from solar energy to embedded wireless systems to integrated circuitry.
Prior to diving into the startup world, I was an engineer and researcher, and received my PhD in EECS at the University of California, Berkeley. My research explored automation techniques for system-level integration of embedded analog/mixed-signal circuits, under the guidance of Prof. Alberto Sangiovann-Vincentelli. In case you're interested, you can read up on my dissertation here. In addition, I studied Entrepreneurship in the Management of Technology (MOT) program at UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business
In 2010, I launched my startup career as a Mayfield Fellow mentored by the late Managing Director at Mayfield Fund, David Ladd, and haven't looked back. Over the past few years, I've started and lead some exciting projects and was lucky enough to be an early participant of Startup Chile, where I traveled and engaged with entrepreneurs from all over the world. The projects I've been involved with range from indoor-positioning to wireless sensors to mobile web development. Through the process, I've developed an expertise in team-building, early-stage product management, customer discovery, and market validation.
Here are some interesting projects I've been involved in. Check out my CV for details.
As mentioned, I come for an academic background. This section is dedicated to years of hard work and some great collegues and true visionaries I've been fortunate enough to work with.
